How to cancel Canva Pro subscription
Learn how to cancel Canva Pro, stop automatic renewals, and avoid further monthly fees for design software.
The Team Owner Trap
If you use Canva Pro within a "Team" setup (even if it's just a small group for a project), only the designated Team Owner can cancel or downgrade the subscription. Regular team members don't have the permissions to do it themselves. Also, make sure to explicitly downgrade to the free plan instead of completely deleting your account; dropping to the free tier safely preserves all your custom designs, it just locks away the premium brand kits and fonts.
How to cancel via desktop browser
- Log into your account at Canva.com.
- Click the Gear icon (Account settings) in the top right corner.
- Select Billing & plans from the left-hand sidebar menu.
- Under your plan details, click on the three dots (...) and select Cancel subscription.
- Follow the exit steps to confirm your downgrade.

Check Billing & plans for the plan's end date or Free status and save the confirmation. Review which team features, brand assets, and storage change before the downgrade takes effect.
What if I cannot complete cancellation for Canva Pro?
If you cannot see billing controls, verify you are the team owner or billing admin and check the original purchase receipt for an app-store biller.
